Patrick Woodard, journalist, Pat Woodard Productions/KOA Radio
Anne Woodard, administrator, New West Physicians
“A friend asked if I was interested in participating. It sounded fun, so I asked my wife, Anne, if she would help with some skills I lack. We’ve done the Race for the Cure, so this seemed like a fun and creative way to become more involved. “ Patrick Woodard
Anne and Pat Woodard’s Story
It was a dark and stormy night at a 5,000-watt radio station in Omaha, Nebraska…
Okay, so it wasn’t stormy, but it was dark when the new overnight newscaster met the station’s assistant music director. It was the classic and romantic story of…indifference…at first sight. That was 1974.
Flash forward 35 years.
After many stops on the broadcasting merry-go-round, including Fargo, Portland, San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle, Anne and Pat have more or less successfully raised two children and about 10 cats. Twenty years in Evergreen means they’ve also been host to assorted raccoons, foxes, deer, elk, mountain lions and bears. Oh my.
Currently, Pat does freelance television work for anyone whose checks still clear, while also anchoring business updates for Colorado’s Morning News on 850 KOA. Anne handles referrals and medical coding for New West Physicians in Evergreen.
But who knows? Perhaps there’s an exciting future ahead in bra design.
