Bra-Veaux
Suzanne Wight, producer, writer, director, Fresh Media
“In 1992, I moved from the “City of the Big Shoulders”, Chicago, to a town of big sky and almost no body fat, Boulder, Colorado. I joined a local health club. Nearly every day during my workout, someone said to me, "You must be Marcia's sister." Each time, I explained that I have a sister, Cindy, in Baltimore, but no sister in Boulder. One day I was in the locker room slapping on a little blush and detangling my unruly hair when I found myself face to face (in the mirror) with, well...a slightly different version of myself. She had a mane even wilder than mine, large blue eyes, better cheekbones and a more toned body, but the resemblance was unmistakable. I can't remember who spoke first. Honestly, it was a little like 'Parent Trap'. We burst out laughing and we've been doing that for 16 years now. People still assume we're sisters. And, why wouldn't they? We laugh, cry, fight, hug, support, nurture, and empower each other like sisters. Last year, Marcia learned she had breast cancer. All in the family; Her mom, Fran, is a survivor—two mastectomies and a great attitude. Marcia decided to 'do the double' as she said, and get on with her life. So bravo—rather—BraVeaux Marcia! She loves the sweeping meadows in Southern France. I love rich contrasting textures like rustic metal and vintage paperie. BraVeaux is the happy result.”
Suzanne’s Story
Media creation is my business—directing content and creative development for television, video, websites, weblogs, print, social networking applications and online training. At the end of the day, it's always about telling a story in a way people hear it, absorb it, and when applicable, act on it.
