BikeRack
Suzanne Wight, producer, writer, director, Fresh Media
“Though I love my office, sometimes I escape to a nearby coffee house jammed with two distinctive sets of customers. Amante attracts people like me—writers, designers, marketing and advertising people attached at the hip to their laptops. It is also THE place for cyclists to grab a café beverage before or after a bike ride. The flat-screen TV shows one world-class cycling event after another. The spare Euro décor is black and white with splashes of red. The baristas all bike to work, look hip in black, and exude warmth that belies their cool exteriors. I get an energy boost that gets me over any 'blocks' I may be experiencing. So, as I watched the Tour de France while drinking my medio latté half caf skinny and checking out everyone's super-bikes (mine is the only clunker in the mix), it hit me. I can do a bra from bike parts and use fun bike accessories as key elements. Hmmm...I think I'll call it BikeRack. BikeRack sports a JellyBell (state-of-the-art bell), a FLEA (a really great light that flashes multiple ways for night riding), and a superwoman mountain biker with flexible, magnetized parts. Thanks to Boulder Cycle Sport and University Bicycles for supplying me with used gears. What a ride!”
Suzanne’s Story
Media creation is my business—directing content and creative development for television, video, websites, weblogs, print, social networking applications and online training. At the end of the day, it's always about telling a story in a way people hear it, absorb it, and when applicable, act on it.
