Meet the Artist
Let's Win the Race
Carissa Mullaney, interior designer/interior Design educator, Art Institute of Colorado“There are so many women that I admire in this world and I think it is important that we support each other when times get tough. It is impossible to remain strong all the time, so having other women to lean on can make all the difference. I talk to my mother and sisters on a daily basis and find strength in these conversations. I could not imagine life without this support network. When I was asked to participate in the Bra Art project, I thought it would be fun to work on and would be a great way to release some creative energy. But the bigger picture is that it is for such a great cause that supports so many amazing women in this world.”

She’s currently an instructor at the Art Institute of Colorado and in the past couple of years has completed research on housing for homeless families that hopefully will be used in developing future multifamily housing projects in Denver. Her passion is in socially responsible design: Good design for all economic demographics, design that truly meets the needs of people, and design that incorporates healthy, sustainable practices.
